Project 17

Project 17's Advice Service is now National

Project 17’s frontline advice service is now national! Thanks to funding from the Paul Hamlyn Foundation we’re now able to take on cases from anywhere in England, working remotely over the phone and online.

Who we can assist:

  •  Families with children under 18
  • Who have no recourse to public funds and are not eligible for s.95 asylum support.
  • Are facing homelessness or severe poverty

What we can help with:

  • Advice and advocacy on accessing accommodation or financial support from local authorities under section 17 of the Children Act 1989
  • Related support and advice (e.g. destitution support)

What we cannot help with:

  • Immigration advice (including change of conditions applications)
  • Asylum support
