Advice and advocacy

We provide advice for migrant families facing homelessness and extreme poverty because they are unable to work or claim welfare benefits. 

We are mostly meeting clients over the telephone and online because of the Coronavirus. However, if meeting remotely is a problem, please talk to us about booking a face-to-face appointment instead.

If you: 

  • have children
  • have No Recourse to Public Funds
  • are homeless, facing homelessness or struggling to meet you and your children's essential needs

Please call us on 07963 509 044 or email if you want to make an appointment. Leave a message with your name and number.

We respond to messages and return calls on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Feel free to leave messages on other days, but we will only be able to call you back on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Please note we are not able to give immigration advice

Unfortunately we are often very busy and, if we are at capacity, we will not be able to take on new clients.

Coming to the office:

Please do not drop in to our office without an appointment. We are mostly working from home so there might not be anyone there to meet you. Instead, follow the instructions above if you want to book an appointment.

We are based in a hospice so we are particularly conscious of ensuring the safety of the other users of the building. If you have booked a face-to-face appointment with us, please follow this guidance when coming to see us:

  • Don't attend the appointment if you, or anyone in your household, has any symptoms of Coronavirus (high temperature, a new and continuous cough, or a loss or change to the sense of smell or taste)
  • Wear a face covering in communal areas of the building
  • Wash your hands before and after the appointment. Hand sanitiser is also available.
  • If possible, come to the appointment on your own
  • If you need to bring children, please try to bring your own toys/entertainment. (If this is not possible we will have a limited selection at the office.)
  • Maintain social distancing by ensuring a 2m distance from others
